Great site. Brings back a lot of memories mostly good some not so good. I purchased my discharge in april 1966 to immigrate with my family to vancouver b.c. Canada. Went back to school for a year and then joined the royal canadian mounted police served for just over 30 years and retired to pension in 1999. In november of 1999 was elected to civic government and having a great time. Up for re election in nov of this year

The site gets better day by day a lot of old good memories have been woken up when names are mentioned but it is sad to hear that a few are no longer on parade.i remember the cross country taxi and john loveday was my troop sgt.at 11 armd.bde in minden.looking forward to more memories

This site brings back memories that are mostly good except for freezing my b---- off on dartmoor doing the dreaded marches. Denbury was a good start to adult life it s a great pity that it is no longer open for young lads of to day.

Retired from the army in 1988....did a few years in the north sea drilling empty wells!!!!. Decided to to an ba in social work studies now a practicing mental health social work team leader. When i think of the days in denbury and the characters........well.. Even my most challenging client seems quite normal in comparison.........recognise some names on the site.........paddy gosling.....still got that tattoo ??..... Regards john

Best years of my life and it s not been bad since! Recall loads of names dave naden (j rsm) paddy chambers joe kelly mick smith(j.ssm) nobby ford jonah owen pinky parker ginge waddington spud tate sgt arnold and many more. Left the army 1977 and had a good 18 yrs police service. Now an i.f.a. Edinburgh good site and v well done. Would love to hear from any other old timers out there.
