Hi Guys. I know its a long way off but Jim has managed to get an assured commitment from the Holiday Inn Barnsley for the 2018 reunion. The room prices will be the same ?£30 for a single and ?£50 for a double as they were for this year. The dinner price will be ?£27.50 which is a 50p increase which isn t bad for a forecast two years ahead. I have signed a contract for a minimum of 80 guests which I dont think we will have any trouble getting. If we have a short fall I can suggest we have a raffle like 216 Para Signals do to raise cash for the entertainment. Same game as when Jim organized it (Think he still in all but name) you book and pay for room with debit/credit card and sort your own dinner bills out on check out. I m really hopping that this venue is well subscribed as its a really nice reunion with a great venue location. Talk Soon Phil

2017 Last Parade Reunion Update. I went down to Newton Abbot at the weekend to meet Sylvia the event co-ordinator for the above. (at my own expense) Rick and Jim also attended the meeting. We checked out the venue and it is very adequate for our needs. I had a lengthily conversation with Pete Whitfield who holds all the troop flags and he will be getting/making flag standards so these can be carried on the short march by troops to the Cross on the 9th. We have decided that due to the limited space in the venue that a disco would be more suitable for this occasion. We will all have clip on name tags with Name Troop Name and dates at Denbury on. We were extremely lucky that Sylvia had some of these name tags and a computer disc so we can do it all ourselves. The saving on this is well over ?£100.00 so we had a bit of luck there. Jim Humphries is getting his granddaughter to do these for us. Rick is organizing the PA system at the Cross inviting the Mayor and partner and also liaising with the police to enable us to do the short march. I have transposed the menu s on to word and I will be sending you these by email. (With simple instructions) but if you dont have Microsoft word with can use the pigeons with paper and ink.. Thanks to everybody who put their hands up for a Denbury Silk Tie and can now confirm the order has been placed ordering the minimum number would have meant a price increase to ?£21 so have gone for more ties and pleased to offer at ?£20 + postage the same as the first and subsequent batches from 2008 to 2013 will now been in touch with you to collect payments expecting delivery in circa 4 weeks not wishing to sound like a salesman but these will be the last!
