For Joe Kelly: Giving your beret sizing query more thought I seem to remember the rule of Pye was used; the shortened term after the Greek philosopher & mathematician Pythagoras. I ve forgotten the actual formula used but it s the measure in circumference divided by a third and something. Perhaps this will jog someone s noddle box. Hope it helps.

Hi Joe Re your beret sizing. I know what you mean but it s a lot easier today in metric measure than the old imperial sizing. Take a dress maker s fabric ruler and just measure the whole circumference of your head. I have a beret and it s size 62cm. In the old days that would have been 7.5. Somehow I am suspecting this isn t helpful but it s the best I can do.

I have just been on the premier inn web site and there are rooms available now on 8th and 9th September. I have booked a couple of spare rooms and if the price drops I can cancel and re book at the cheaper rate which I have just done. If you dont have accommodation go on line and book now. if the price drops you can always rebook and cancel your first booking

Re 2017 Last Parade Reunion. After the meeting at the racecourse in September with the Support guys it was mentioned that we could perhaps do a raffle at the dinner dance to raise funds for any short fall towards unforeseen costs or perhaps improve donations to the web site and even a contribution to the Legion in Newton Abbot that serves us so well on the regular Newton Abbot Reunions. They way that other reunions do it that I attend is that donations are given my members and they are raffled in the evening. I have a case of Whiskey and a case of Gin that would start if off nicely.. Hope this is acceptable
