Hey Phil Pearce I ve been aving a shufty at your weblink namely the Phil Pearce Site and interesting it is too. Some good photos as well. You didn t need to identify yourself on the Dartmoor photo though. That alternative and better route you showed me in reaching Southmead hospital I used it every time getting to the limb centre. All change now though the limb service has relocated to the old royal mail centre Patchway top end of Cribbs Causeway. I hope you re keeping well. Cheers CJ

Re. Beret sizes-Jock there are several charts available on-line to work out your hat size. This is just one of them http://www.lockhatters.co.uk/sizing/ Regards Keith.

For Joe Kelly: Giving your beret sizing query more thought I seem to remember the rule of Pye was used; the shortened term after the Greek philosopher & mathematician Pythagoras. I ve forgotten the actual formula used but it s the measure in circumference divided by a third and something. Perhaps this will jog someone s noddle box. Hope it helps.

Hi Joe Re your beret sizing. I know what you mean but it s a lot easier today in metric measure than the old imperial sizing. Take a dress maker s fabric ruler and just measure the whole circumference of your head. I have a beret and it s size 62cm. In the old days that would have been 7.5. Somehow I am suspecting this isn t helpful but it s the best I can do.

I have just been on the premier inn web site and there are rooms available now on 8th and 9th September. I have booked a couple of spare rooms and if the price drops I can cancel and re book at the cheaper rate which I have just done. If you dont have accommodation go on line and book now. if the price drops you can always rebook and cancel your first booking
