Phil - Thanks for your kind remarks about this the Denbury Days website. It's nice to hear feedback about the site. Just one correction - the site has been going since about times Original Denbury Boys site started - I think it was 2002

Hi John Maher, it's good to know you're still on patrol. You kindly arranged for me to view the Keys Ceremony in the Tower of London about 8 years ago. I only mention it as a reminder. To be honest I felt sorry for those Guardsmen performing that ritual ceremony at 2200hrs, mainly for the tourists. "Halt who goes there", shouts a Yeoman Warden. The Keys, whose keys, the Queen's keys etc etc. That ceremony has been done every night for hundreds of years bar a week in the London Blitz of WW2. In reality the security of the Tower could be shut down with the flick of a switch in 2 seconds flat. I for one would discontinue the keys ceremony. I think there will be many changes when the Queen passes on. Thanks all the same John. Good to see you.

Captain Ronald Ernest Nunn -
Possibly Signals 1946 - 1950's -
Brighton area -
Good afternoon
I am trying to trace the buildings in some pictures that I have
My grandfather Captain Ronald Ernest Nunn had these photos in an album and it just says Denbury.
I am trying to trace where the buildings are. Ronald returned to the UK from India (he was in the Indian Army and then appears to have joined the British Army I think) in about 1945 till early 1950's and we cannot find where he lived.. have lots of photos of quarters in various counties in the south and south-east. I am waiting for his army records from the government but it may take a year apparently!
I am researching his life and any help would be most gratefully received. His date of birth was 1907.
The guy in the dark uniform is called Nightingale.. that is the only clue I have really apart from Denbury..
Thank you
Diane Evans

Talking about cars. I have this week after 40 years of buying the Jag XJ finally thrown in the towel. This one was nearly £80k new 2 years ago this month. 5240 miles on the clock. They gave me £29k for it at the weekend. Over the years it has cost me a fortune. Now getting a Hyundai Tuscon premium SE.
TALK ABOUT THROWING MONEY AWAY.

We have some good news about the Memorial Bench we purchased for Bob Wathen. John Berkinshaw has been in contacts with NA council and has found a place not far from the Cross in the centre of NA. John has kindly offered to look atter the bench Pete Whitfield has offered to help move it to its new location. Also we do not have to worry about any insurance implications as NA will take care of this. Jim (Chalky) is in full agreement as so am I. I think all that made donations to purchase this Memorial will be in agreement that it is time we put this bench where is can be appreciated by all. Great Job John.

Had you 2 not corrected Terry Reynolds I would have. It is without doubt that the so called "Original" Denbury Boys was "Fragmented" by it's owner and overseers who seem to think that they have the rights and privileges to decide who can say what, about what and when they can say it. I was refused when I applied to re-join after getting fed with the owner and overseers acting like lords and masters. Have to say "NOT" missed it at all.
Denbury Days is the best medium for us to remain in contact with each other without the "Wannabe" pretenders having any say. Thanks for that Tony.
Oh! have not seen Owner and overseers at any reunion for many a year.

Chalky,
I knew someone who tried the Range Rover for a change after many years having BMWs and was most disappointed with the Jag Land Rover service level. A big mistake he said and it will be his first and last JLR car. In a way I suppose it could be appropriate to say TaTa.

For Diane Evans regarding Captain Ronald Ernest Nunn
From 1951 to 1955 Denbury Camp was the Depot Regiment for the Royal Signals prior to being a Boy Service unit, have found the following for the Royal Army Service Corps in the London Gazette:
'Lt. (War Subs. Lt.) Ronald Ernest NUNN (375899) from Emergency Commission Indian Army to be Lt., 1st Jan. 1947, with seniority 23rd Nov. 1944'
Therefore your grandfather was at Rawlinson Barracks aka Denbury Camp prior to 1951 as it was a Royal Army Service Corps camp from 1947 to 1951.
Hope this helps
