I did wonder whether it was just coincidence after I gave ?£45 to the St.John s Ambulance a few years ago I was bombarded by several other charities for donations very soon after. It would seem they share information whom to target. It makes you wonder how that fits in with the Data Protection Act. Was up in Catterick 24 Sigs in early 67 where we had a SSM who had a very bad lisp so much so that when he got annoyed and shouted at you you very quickly we showered in spit.
