Sad news Lt Michael JL â??Maxâ?Ø Bygrave arrived at Denbury Jan 63 as Troop Commander of Kohima by Mar 64 he was promoted to Capt and posted to 28 Sig Regt mid 65 my troop commander for two terms and himself and Sgt CN â??Peteâ?Ø Lightfoot RIP ensured we were a happy troop thank them both for ensuring I would be top of the barrack room (buckshee patrol leader) for the winter term but in Sep 65 after they had both left the troop was disbanded and was then second from the bottom in White Spear Max got in touch some time ago and we exchanged emails when he was living in Cornwall RIP Sir

NOT The last parade-Saturday 17 June 2017 Further to my post of 24 February 2017. I can now confirm that as at 26 April 2017 RHQ RSA Blandford Camp has agreed that Ex Denbury Boys can lead the veteranâ??s parade on Saturday morning in recognition of the camp closing down 50 years ago this year. This will be a great honour for Denbury Boys and we all look forward to a large turnout including any in mobility scooters !! Just turn up on the day in your best bib and tucker red tie if you have one medals and beret. I hope to arrange some form of standard bearer to lead us around with some form of Denbury flag if one can be found. Timings for the start of the parade are not known yet but will follow in due course. Bernie Temmen Kohima 63-65(off & on)
