Hi There folks, Nightingale here, and have just noticed the message to/from John Berry regarding getting involved. I would love to get involved, but because I dont drive and I rely on public transport it isnt always easy to get to these functions . And it can be expensive to get to plaves like Newton Abbot. But if there is anyone living in Suffolk area and wouldnt mind a passenger then please let me know. I know it seems unlikely but is there another ten tors planned ?? Best wishes to all ex-boys out there and hope you are all well. Best wishes tweet nightingale0650

John Berry.. The trouble with most things is that to get amongst it you have to get involved. We had a similar situation at a funeral once where everyone had a great time apart from one guy who didn't introduce himself and though the same as you. As you have left you are obviously not going to read this message. But I didn't know about any reunions RSA Blandford or anything until I got involve in the Ten Tors 2010. Someone said to me that life doesn't come to you .You go to it. But whatever floats you boat. Thanks for your good wishes

John, I am unable to reply to you on the Denbury Days site due to an ongoing problem at my end.
I still have what I believe to be a Beaufighter Troop polo shirt as supplied to the Brisbane Denbury Boys re union by Tony Hargreaves (Iron Troop). If you would like this memento of your Denbury years, I would be very happy to slip it into a jiffy bag and in the post. Come to me privately on this email address with details for postage. No costs.
Best wishes for the future...George McIntosh

For Alan Howard, Charlie Charlesworth and any other Hong Kong veterans, 1 July 2017 will be the 20th anniversary of HK reverting to Chinese rule.
I am sure that anyone who was posted there will have many very happy memories as I do.

Terribly sorry boys but I'm bugging out of this site,
Same old names seem to be having the say on this that and everything. ( you know who you are }
Enjoyed my JL days but hey, that was a LONG TIME Ago.
Went to an RSA thingy at Blandford a few years ago and vowed never to return, Nowt but old boys in blazers in little cliques. Nein danka. So not ready for that. Nobody had the time of day to even speak!
Since 1977 have made many genuine pals (Police career) who really did care. Applied to join Edinburgh branch RSA and never even got a reply.
Good luck and long life to you all, Im outa here

For those who have not seen the fantastic job Chalky has done on the name plates. The example is in the Denbury boys web site. Fortunately we managed to obtain the troop flag emblems to make the names plates look very professional and in colour (apart from those which are in black and white anyway). It's great to have such a dedicated support team that includes Rick Underhill Pete Whitfield Jim Humpries and others. It's been a struggle but we are nearly ready. I will be posting the results of our meeting with the event organizers on Monday.

Just a reminder that this coming Saturday 17 June the “NOT The last parade” will take place at Blandford Camp during the RSA weekend. Denbury Boys will be forming up on Hawk Square(to you old sweat’s that’s behind what was 30 Sigs RHQ many years ago)after the Prince Royal Parade concludes which starts at 1030hrs.
Also remember you must produce some form of photo ID,passport or photo driving license,on booking in at the guardroom.It’s been said that you will be turned away without this.
Looking forward to meeting any of you who arrive.
