Hi Phil,

Long overdue I'm afraid and I would just like to say how much we enjoyed the Newton Abbot 50th Reunion gathering. It was great to meet up with up some old pals, some of them I hadn't seen for years, to be honest. Thank you also for your patience and assistance prior to the gathering as well.

In the meantime, we hope that you and your family have a great festive season.

Best wishes,

Mick Moffatt

Thanks for your kind words. I have no idea why this person thinks that all I have done for the Denbury Boys by way of Reunions, or helping out when help was needed could in anyway be for self gain however that is what was sent to me in a "Private" mail. I believe this final statement from him was because I had responded to a mail (again private) on the Denbury Boys site. Purely a misstate on my part but the way my system is set up anything with the word "Denbury" goes into my Denbury Box. This caused some words to be exchanged.
For me the matter can rest. Needless to say I now have no contact with the member and have to say "Life" is better for it. As to naming "NO" not my style.

I totally agree Ted with all you say. At the 2017 Newton Abbot Last parade reunion when I announced that I was now taking over the Barnsley Reunion and expressed our gratitude to Jim for all his efforts over the years, he virtually got a standing ovation. In all honesty how can the person concerned question Jim’s integrity because if he was the man he says he is he would have published his name by now. I would have but then I’ve always been a vindictive bastard. Lets hope that this can be forgotten and perhaps a private apology to Jim from whoever started this crap.

Hi Jim, sorry to see you are getting garbage from someone who obviously has issues. It's a pity he didn't take note of the complimentary remarks to you for your efforts on this site. I proudly believed Denbury turned out men of honour and integrity but he has shown this was not always the case sadly. Be in touch soon mate.

Joined R Troop Selby July 1955, on advance party to clean up Rawlinson Barracks and prepare all barrack rooms for the boys to move from Beverley in September 1955. Left the regiment April 1957 for 4th Training Regiment at Gaza Barracks Catterick - joined there on May 1st 1957. Looking for any H Troop guys, or Colin Markie or Dave Wootten (both Boy RSMs) and especially Johnnie Scarpe, H Troop who was the best man at my wedding in November 1957.

From the last batch of Denbury Silk Ties there are just two left, I was holding on to these as there were a couple of orders not paid for, however have now decided to make these available at a starting price of 20 pounds plus postage, the same price as the first batch sold back sold in 2008, will sell to the best offer including a donation received by 31 Dec 17, via the CONTACT page of denburyjuniorleaders.com, as this website requires an annual maintenance fee, so need to have funds available to preserve our future for the families of Denbury Boys and to remember were we all started our adult life!

Thanks for your kind words. I have no idea who Steve Wright was asking money for. Perhaps if it is long ago before 2002 it was before my time. I am sure what ever his reasons for asking for donations was for a good and deserving cause. Take Care
