Joined R Troop Selby July 1955, on advance party to clean up Rawlinson Barracks and prepare all barrack rooms for the boys to move from Beverley in September 1955. Left the regiment April 1957 for 4th Training Regiment at Gaza Barracks Catterick - joined there on May 1st 1957. Looking for any H Troop guys, or Colin Markie or Dave Wootten (both Boy RSMs) and especially Johnnie Scarpe, H Troop who was the best man at my wedding in November 1957.

From the last batch of Denbury Silk Ties there are just two left, I was holding on to these as there were a couple of orders not paid for, however have now decided to make these available at a starting price of 20 pounds plus postage, the same price as the first batch sold back sold in 2008, will sell to the best offer including a donation received by 31 Dec 17, via the CONTACT page of denburyjuniorleaders.com, as this website requires an annual maintenance fee, so need to have funds available to preserve our future for the families of Denbury Boys and to remember were we all started our adult life!

Thanks for your kind words. I have no idea who Steve Wright was asking money for. Perhaps if it is long ago before 2002 it was before my time. I am sure what ever his reasons for asking for donations was for a good and deserving cause. Take Care

Just read a couple of Pages, Jim White sympathy on the idiot who said that about U, obviously knows nothing of the real world. Was surprised to see you paying for wreaths and other things. Steve wright was always sending me an email asking me for a fiver, for flowers for someone's funeral. Then he stopped, sounds like U took over. Thanks Jim for everything you have done, including the cheap skates who stole a bus ride at the big reunion in 2005, we even bred mean ones at denbury, but thank goodness they were outnumbered by the good ones.. Regards,
Keith

First time in a little while that I have visited this site and I must say I am appalled to see that someone has slagged of my old mate Jim White as using the Barnsley reunion for his own ends. Nothing could be further from the truth as far as I am concerned. Phil has already spoken about his generosity at the Last Parade reunion and the efforts put in by everybody concerned. Good on you guys and to hell with the moaners.
