As most of us are aware another one of our ‘boys’ sadly passed away last week. Glenn Harwood MBE, Denbury boy 1965-1697 White Swan and served the Corps for 40 years retiring as Lt Colonel. He was currently a District Councillor for Higham Lancaster Ward of Higham Ferrers Town Council. His funeral will be a Family only affair and we respect his family wishes.
There will be a Thanksgiving Service in his memory held on Tuesday 12 December 2017 at 2pm at St Mary’s Church, Higham Ferrers. A reception at The Bede House will follow after the service.
I know a few of our Denbury Boys will be in attendance and give him our ‘Boys’ farewell.

A shot in the dark but worth researching. We'll be out in Australia (Perth) during December to mid-Jan 2018. We're then off to New Zealand until mid-February, before returning to Perth for 3 weeks before returning to the UK.
Anyway, we would be happy to meet up with any ex-Denbury Boys for a beer and chat during our travels in both countries.

Hi Phil,
Long overdue I'm afraid and I would just like to say how much we enjoyed the Newton Abbot 50th Reunion gathering. It was great to meet up with up some old pals, some of them I hadn't seen for years, to be honest. Thank you also for your patience and assistance prior to the gathering as well.
In the meantime, we hope that you and your family have a great festive season.
Best wishes,
Mick Moffatt

Thanks for your kind words. I have no idea why this person thinks that all I have done for the Denbury Boys by way of Reunions, or helping out when help was needed could in anyway be for self gain however that is what was sent to me in a "Private" mail. I believe this final statement from him was because I had responded to a mail (again private) on the Denbury Boys site. Purely a misstate on my part but the way my system is set up anything with the word "Denbury" goes into my Denbury Box. This caused some words to be exchanged.
For me the matter can rest. Needless to say I now have no contact with the member and have to say "Life" is better for it. As to naming "NO" not my style.

I totally agree Ted with all you say. At the 2017 Newton Abbot Last parade reunion when I announced that I was now taking over the Barnsley Reunion and expressed our gratitude to Jim for all his efforts over the years, he virtually got a standing ovation. In all honesty how can the person concerned question Jim’s integrity because if he was the man he says he is he would have published his name by now. I would have but then I’ve always been a vindictive bastard. Lets hope that this can be forgotten and perhaps a private apology to Jim from whoever started this crap.

Hi Jim, sorry to see you are getting garbage from someone who obviously has issues. It's a pity he didn't take note of the complimentary remarks to you for your efforts on this site. I proudly believed Denbury turned out men of honour and integrity but he has shown this was not always the case sadly. Be in touch soon mate.
