Chris
No I do not communicate privately with Steve Wright. I have not done so for nearly 2 years. The reasons are known to you as you came to my defence when he accused me of making money from my efforts in organising Denbury boys reunions and or collections after boys passing.
The final straw for me was when he left an abusive message using abusive language on my answer phone. As JT said in his earlier mail you have to know the man to know him. I stand by what I have said. I did not hear your voice when it was widely known the hassle that Steve W was giving Tong Gask. Hassle that nearly caused Tony to pull the plug on Denbury Days. This move was by SW intentions. After being responsible for the fall out with the original Denbury Boys site, then the fall out with Phil Kirk, then the lock down of the History site then the new (attempt) at another site you have to ask your self "Why". Yes I did help and champion Steve. It cost me lots of money in trying to give him a business model for selling our tags "On Line in Germany". After I spent over £3,000 in translation costs he could not be arsed. Yes I am boring but when you have been scammed as have others JT included (meal) you have to get to a point when enough is enough.
Very sad to hear about the passing of Jock Kelly. Spent several reunions with him over the years and visited him in Portsmouth. Was good to see him again and catch up with him at Barnsley. Sadly missed RIP Jock.
Any news on his funeral. When available please post on this site.
Apart from that a Happy New Year to you all.

Hi Sid, regarding your mention of Mick Brennan. His friend was Neil Heritage who was blown up by IED & lost both legs in Iraq, I think it was. I read a book about them both working on electronic counter measures. I don't recall MB losing limbs, but Neil lost both legs. I could contact Neil perhaps and ask if he knows the whereabouts of Mick. Click on this link to see Neil on the Matterhorn.

Chalky,
Thanks for your latest message which makes it easier for me to understand your annoyance, albeit it's news to me. You're right, I didn't join in on the commotion with TG because there was enough traffic at the time without my involvement. I was a bit confused with JT's comment because Historic Steve rejoined the original group in 2016. I remember it well because he started a topic about Brexit, him supporting Remain. And in 2017 he and myself put up £1000 to purchase another 50 Denbury ties in readiness for the 50th anniversary parade of the JLR closure. He progressed everything perfectly and had buyers lined up and was able to return my contribution within six weeks. So, I've been at a loss to understand what has been going on given his past performance and interest in our heritage. I still think it not right for ones dirty laundry to be aired on a site that is open to the general public. However, given your losses Chalky which I'm sorry to learn about I now understand your grievance.
Good luck with the Barnsleyfest and long may they continue. Had it not been for my holiday to Ireland clashing, I would have attended.

Hi all
I have been advertising, on the Denbury Boys Facebook page, for anyone who may be interested in buying a Denbury Regimental tie. I have obtained the following prices silk tie £23.40, bow tie £19.40. These prices were quoted for as a group of we could purchase 36 as that is the minimum amount of material that the supplier can purchase at any one time
If there is anyone who may be interested please let me know on this medium
Regards Pete
