1.While in Oz I visited Fremantle Prison where the guide told us that the first prisoners, first of all had to build their own accommodation and to identify who was who they wore blue overalls with the word POME across the back. This
identified them as Prisoners of Mother England........
2. Great to hear the Jock Kelly is home and going in the right direction........

Barnsley Reunion Menu Choices - Update
Now have the meal choices for those listed in the previous message. However, not sure if Mick Lumgair is attending.
Sorry for all the inconvenience caused. It was due to a 'coding' error which has now been fixed.
Would like to remind those attending, if possible, could they bring 'Raffle Prizes' for the Saturday night 'do'. Anything will do. It goes towards the cost of organising the reunion (disco etc)

Channing Wood project. and proposed Memorial Bench to Bob.
I wonder if it could be considered that we may be able to meet both requirements into one.
The Channing wood proposed Plaque give a "History" of the DBG with the site of Channing Wood. Whilst I do not know if the stone is inside or outside it would it would be an ideal spot for 2 benches to be made by the carpenters shop at the prison, one to remember our association and one to remember a typical Denbury Boy who had an affinity with the area.
If this site is near the visitor area all the better to show visitors the history.
We have I believe the fund will cover the costs of these together with the "All" weather plaques. This will not require us to gain permission to site a bench on either public or National land and take away the need for "Health and Safety" inspections and maintenance and possible insurance. Perhaps the Channing Wood team can comment and perhaps a "Poll" arranged by Tony on this site is an idea.

Thanks for your efforts for the Barnsley Reunion. I know the numbers were down this year but please don’t give up on it just yet. Those that attended had a good time - and we would like it to continue.
All the best
Ted
