Just a quick reminder its Newton Abbot Reunion next Friday & Saturday. Both nights will be held in the RBL. I have arranged a small buffet for Saturday Night, due to the small numbers this year there will be no curry. Also there will be no walk back to camp on Saturday as most attending don't do the walk anyway, so it will be a lazy weekend. Dress for both nights smart casual or as you please.

Re the Taunton reunion. I had planned not being there before 1600hrs but that's likely to be 1800hrs as I shall first off, be doing a 40 mile recumbent cycle ride around Bristol & Avonmouth with the (FB) South West & Wales Trike Riders.

BARNSLEY REUNION RAFFLE PRIZES - Reminder

Each year a 'Raffle' is held at the Barnsley Reunion. The tickets are sold on the Friday and Saturday night.

Please bring 'Prizes' to be raffled. All donations will be welcome. Place your donation(s) to be raffled on the table near the door in the main room (Saturday night).

The funds collected will go towards:

+ Reunion event costs (Disco etc).
+ Support for our valuable web sites which keep us connected.
+ Help for others who cannot afford the cost of attending but would like to attend. (Hotel, Meal cost - not drink).
(This will be administered by specific individuals acting in a discreet way. Names will be kept a secret to avoid embarrassment.)

There are still a few people that have not booked food for the Saturday night. If you have yet not done so or know someone that has not yet booked can you please do so or ask them to do so. (If you have booked there will be a * at the side of your name). Can someone put this on the other site. The hotel need to ensure that enough meals are prepared to ensure everyone gets their choice.

Hi all
I have just had Bob Peake on phone informing me that John Maher 91, sadly passed away yesterday.
John was senior troop sgt for Kukuri 61 - 64. I first met John after Denbury at the first Taunton Reunion in 2002 he was so pleased to meet Dixie Dixon RIP and Bob Wathen RIP both from his old troop.
John was a real gentleman and attend several reunions in Taunton & NA along with his lovely wife Jane. Jane passed away a few years ago.
After leaving the corps John became Chief Yeoman Warder at the Tower of London.
My sincere condolences to John's daughters and family.
Funeral details to be arranged.

Viv and I had a great time at the Taunton Reunion. So nice to meet old friends and meet some new ex Denbury Boys too. Thankyou Mike and Sue for arranging the yearly visit that we really look forward too. Hope to see you all next February. Regards to all. Mike and Viv.

Great news Rose and I were at the Royal Marsden on the 7 March, where she received the all clear for her cancer . Another check up in September.
