I don't often comment on this site but read Comcen regularly. I am sorry to hear that Cliff Seabrook passed away, i remember him from 244 in Lippstadt (64-67).
Anyway all the best to all and especially anyone who was in H Troop from 58 to 60.

On behalf of Lesley and myself I would like to wish all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all ex-Denbury people and your families.
I hope 2021 is better than the 2020 and we can meet each other at reunions etc.
I would like to thanks those who have kindly donated towards the up keep of this the 'Denbury Days' website.

Hi All, Just to let you all know that I went to hospital last Wednesday, for a major MoT.
I had the full team there all wanting to have a look at me, and, find out exactly what the problems were.
Well, I had all sorts of graphs, Cardiograph, Echographs and Telegraphs.
The answer they came up with after a couple of hours poking round me was, that I was perfect.
By that I mean, my heart was superb, although still in Atrial Fibrillation (Which they are not bothered about), the triple bypass was successful, and, were happy with, and, my Aortic Valve Replacement was superb.
They then instructed me to start getting back to full health again, but, I had to take it very easy.
Sadly, they also said that I had to lose weight, which, I already knew about.
It was mentioned that I lose 2 stones, and, when I argued that I was nearly 20 stone, they changed their minds, and, advised a wee bit more poundage off.
I have no qualms with that. I was told it should take about another year before I am back to any semblance of my former self. With this I am very happy.
I can now start on the long trail home. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and, I have a goal to reach now.
Well, there we have it, the next update should be in about 12 months time.
Cheers.
Jock

Do we still have members in NZ now that Willie is not with us?
