Re: Janet Silburn, reading your message of 8 Oct 20 I'm sorry to say I cannot enlighten you further about Dave. Whilst we were at Denbury for some of the same time, I only knew Dave via this site and two actual meetings, one at the York mini-reunion and another at Newton Abbot. He certainly kept us entertained with his amusing anecdotes of his ED specialism. Other than what I wrote you I cannot say anymore except he is sadly missed. Take care.

got on denbury days site, and noticed 2 large hanger type green buildings
I do not remember ever seeing these, could you please tell me what they were used for, years back Joe Inguanez gave me a reminder of the camp
layout, but I don't think these were mentioned. TC

Not sure just why I gave any thought about Denbury this evening but it got me thinking about who still may be kicking from my years there. So if anyone is still kicking let me know and probably quickly ‘cas you never quite know what’s around the corner...

Terry - The two large green sheds were Drill Sheds. I think one of the once contained a swimming pool (I can't remember this).

I was there 61 to August 63. Iron troop. There are quite a few ex Denbury boys in Oz who spent the best £10 of their life.

Yes, those two sheds were the drill sheds, best thing I remember was when Iron troop got done for the beer thing in ogwell, and the whole troop was put on jankers, when we did the guard mount in the drill shed, you had the small number of the guard on parade and all of iron troop behind.. never saw them used as a swimming pool..

Hi All.

Sad News I am afraid:

Stay Healthy.

JT, hope you don't mind me getting in touch, but, Jim Wood's wife Kay, has just rang us to say
Jim passed away at 1210 this morning. We are good friends with Jim and Kay, and would meet up
at the city hall in belfast quite often and have lunch. I don't know what has been said on the DB Site
but thought i would let you know. Wife and i really upset, and will miss Jim a lot. He was a good
friend to us both.We will of course keep in touch with Kay, and for the last 8 or 9 months told
them both, to pick up the phone if they needed anything. Rang Jim on Friday and had a short chat, he was
supposed to ring me tomorrow. REGARDS TC
