DENBURY DAYS FOR ANOTHER 2 YEARS
From today (17 August 2018) the Denbury Days website will be available for another 2 years.
I have just paid £296.32 for the hosting of the Denbury Days website. This sum is only to have the site on the internet it does not include all the creation work, software etc which I do myself.

If anyone feels they are able to make a donation (small or large) click on the 'Donate' menu above. It will be very welcome. (If you would prefer to donate by cheque etc then contact me via the private 'Contact' menu above (or email me and I will reply with my home address.)

I would like to say a big 'Thank-you' to those who have already donated/contributed towards the upkeep.

I came on to this sight back in July, to try and find anyone who remembered my husband, Rob Elliot (Bob). I had a few responses which i was grateful for. I am sorry for not replying after you took the trouble to make contact. It is with great sadness and a broken heart i have to let you know that Bob passed away last Sunday.
Thank you to those of you who remembered him. He loved his days at Denbury and his life in the Army. Regards Kathy

Thanks to everyone who has sent Birthday wishes for today. Big 75. We should have been having our get together this weekend with me providing food and drink. Well at least Covid has saved me a bob or two. Look forward to next year if we get through it all.

Kathy, very sorry for the news of your sad loss, I served in denbury around the same time as Rob, to be honest cant say I remember him, although he was 2 squadron so our paths must have crossed some time. he was also a member of the troop with the terrible fire in 62, so he must have had that to think on that also. take care, whereabouts are you and the funeral etc?

Re: Janet Silburn, reading your message of 8 Oct 20 I'm sorry to say I cannot enlighten you further about Dave. Whilst we were at Denbury for some of the same time, I only knew Dave via this site and two actual meetings, one at the York mini-reunion and another at Newton Abbot. He certainly kept us entertained with his amusing anecdotes of his ED specialism. Other than what I wrote you I cannot say anymore except he is sadly missed. Take care.

got on denbury days site, and noticed 2 large hanger type green buildings
I do not remember ever seeing these, could you please tell me what they were used for, years back Joe Inguanez gave me a reminder of the camp
layout, but I don't think these were mentioned. TC

Not sure just why I gave any thought about Denbury this evening but it got me thinking about who still may be kicking from my years there. So if anyone is still kicking let me know and probably quickly ‘cas you never quite know what’s around the corner...
