I joined boys service (6th b.t.r.) In 1954 at that time recruit troop was at selby. In january 1956 we moved to beverley where my main memory is that of the coldnest of the barrack rooms. I think it was july time when the regiment moved down to denbury and became a junior leaders regiment. As i was nearly 17 when i joined it wasn
