IN ADDITION TO CHALKY'S MESSAGE: Due to the ongoing restrictions, we have forecast that these will be still be in force in October, so we have taken the decision to "Cancel" the Barnsley Denbury Boys reunion for 2020. We are under contract that if we do not fill the reserved rooms or that we cancel late we have to pay for the rooms booked. Dawn has confirmed that we can have the weekend of 8th and 9th October 2021. We have NOT carried forward any booking as at our age it is not prudent to do so. God willing, we will all be at Barnsley Oct 21 for a great reunion. Please re book. My biggest regret is that I will not be able to watch Chalky write the cheque for the food. (Joke). For some who regularly attend I am sure you are as disappointed as I am, but regrettably it is out of our control.
Also, may I add that I have asked for nominations for new organizers as from previous posts it seems that some guys do not attend Barnsley because what they call my Ego. If this is the case, I will gladly stand down and let someone else take over then the Reunion to give it a chance to have a much larger following. Barnsley is a great location and accessible by all. It is all under one roof and the prices are and have been maintain for a long while now. So please submit your interest or if you have a preferred “organizer” we can take a vote on it.

Newton Abbot Reunion 2020 now cancelled.
Hi All
I think would aslo be prudent to cancel the Newton Abbot Reunion at this time. Rick Underhill as said the RBL are unable to take function bookings, so i think this will give people time to cancel hotel reservations they may have made.
Hope to see you all next year.

Jim, Phil & Mike - Its sad to hear the reunions have been cancelled but this can't be helped.
Can I just say a big THANK-YOU for all the hard work you have done in the past over the years to organise the reunions. Lets hope we are all going to meet up sometime soon.

As his son I have done my Dad a dis-service when I updated Jim. Peter Allen (my father) in fact did 25 years in the regulars finishing as a Staff Sergeant. He then joined the TA in a full time role and knocked up a total of 43 years to Queen and Country. it was in the TA that he was made up to Warrant Officer. Legend of a Father and Grandfather he has survived a triple heart bypass and is now fit as a fiddle !
