Hello Eric. I had a phone conversation with Jock a few weeks ago. he was ok then and said he is only keeping contact with a few lads at this time. When i phone him next, i will give him your best and hopefully he will contact you. Hope that you and your family are all well, we are ok here at this time. Best wishes from our old friend Mike.

Reading Tony's last post, it's my recent experience to have my Facebook account closed by Meta for reasons unbeknown to me, hence I'm not in any FB groups. Meta suggested I had delved in suspicious advertising which is against their trading standards. It was news to me as I have nothing to advertise and only visited Denbury and a Cycling Group. They gave me 180 days to prove my 'innocence', but, declined providing any "prosecution" details. Met a brick wall, so, I signed off completely.

Hi All, I have copied this from our site.</br>
Dear Friends of Sid,
I'm his youngest Son, Graham. As some of you will know he was recently taken into hospital for an operation.
Although the operation was successful, later complications meant my Dad became very ill. Despite fighting hard it is my sad duty to inform you all he passed away peacefully on Saturday morning 28th July with Mum, my brother, my sisters and myself by his side.
In the coming weeks arrangements will be made for his funeral, we will use this forum if its acceptable to inform you all of the details.
I know my Dad has enjoyed making contact with you all over the past couple of years, sharing old stories and whats happening with you all now.
Thank You and Kind Regards.
Graham Harvey

Hi Mike and Skip, now there is a blast from the past! For some reason I thought to look on the Denbury site and noted two lads from my old Troop. Skip do you recall, we always used to be play fighting in the Troop?
Been living here in the North East since 1973. Play Walking Football with another Denbury lad, Geoff Nelson, twin to Morris, who sadly died 4+ years back. Both of us are reasonably fit and healthy and enjoying life.
Best to you both. Barrie

Have received the following message via the the Denbury Days contact page.
Hopefully, someone who knew Leo coud get in touch with Tim.

Name: Tim Steer
Email: steertim@outlook.com
Message: Dear Tony,
On behalf of my wider family and in particular Leo’s brother Tony Marchant (who is now in his 90’s). I’m trying to piece together Leo’s apparently colourful service career. I have managed to get hold of his admin service records from the MOD but questions still remain, you may have some further insight or can perhaps redirect me. A telephone conversation would be appreciated if possible.
Kr
Tim

Hi Barrie Good to hear from you, been a long time since our last chat a the Big One in 2005. Geoff mentioned on FB that you are still playing football, but at a much slower pace. I did meet up with Tim Crook again at Harry Meeking's funeral. I see Mick Gue & Harry Beresford & Frank Herod ,whom you might remember, a couple times a year at reuions. I have not seen Skip for a couple of years but I am sure he will rsepond in due course. Take care.
