Thinking of visiting Blighty next May. Are there any reunions happening around then?

58 years ago yesterday (2nd May) I arrived at Newton Abbot station with Frank Dawson, we had traveled up from Plymouth, we had both signed on together on 17th April at Raglan Barracks, Devonport. I can't remember who we were met by but I do remember the 3 Tonner and the ride to camp, to be met by my J/NCO in nig wing J/Cpl Pat Read White Spear also a Devon boy.

The re-union in Townsville Australia will be kicking off shortly. I send my best wishes to all the Denbury Boys and Girls attending.
I hope that the weather is kind to you and that you all have a wonderful time.

<b>JIM 'CHALKIE' WHITE 80th BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION </b>

Jim 'Chalkie' White is planning to hold his 80th birthday party at the Holiday Inn (Dodworth, Barnsley) during the weekend 10th and 11th October. He says, "it would be nice to invite the Denbury Boys who miss the reunion".

Jim mentioned he will be covering the Saturday night hot buffet.

A double room including full breakfast is £85 (£42.50 per person) - Booking direct with the hotel as normal. Rooms are available for Friday 10th and Saturday 11th October. Regards Jim
