Hi I must have been the worst soldier that ever took the oath. The Army jsut wasn t me but joined to get away from home.I had some great times though and I must thank all that put up with me for that. I n later years these good times were had in the Locomotive inn and the Bradley hotel and when cash was scarce the Scrumpy bar. My Contemparies at the time were Dick manning ( Salford) Jess Thornton ( Middlesex) and Raddy Snowdon ( Nottingham ) I played in Goal for Javelin alongside ( Jock) Healey who could head a football far harder than some could kick it.I bashed about on the drums in the downbeats alongside Adrian ( Rocker ) Mead and Charlie childs also the singer Geoff Chestertman who came from Robin Hood s Bay.If there is anyone out there who wants to drop me a line it would be great to hear from you. 23878564 John Pickard

We have been looking for John Peter Simpson aka Tat Simpson for years. We have never found him and it is strange that I have never ever seen anyone on here asking where he is. I know he was a quiet lad but he was also a super lad when we knew him in 208 Signal Squadron Terendak Camp in Malacca. I am in Singapore at the moment but he originated from not very far from where I live. I think he was from Ashton-Under-Lyne in Greater Manchester.
