I joined with the Balaclava Intake and was in White Spear troop. I went on ten tors in 62 and was in the band as trumpet major. Phil pearce and myself were good friends and we were on the Bath tattoo in 1963

Hi All I was nowhere near being a good soldier but I enjoyed my time at Denbury upon reflection I would not have missed it for the world. Joined the band under Yatesy then was put into the pipe band. I well remember one Burns Night we did for some exiled Scots down there. We piped the Haggis in and afterwards we were slipped a wee dram and danced the Gay Gordons with my Hobnails on.

I was one of the national servicemen posted in from Catterick to install and set up the teleprinter class room (on the left side going down)Did`nt like the number of guard duties we did but appreciated the long holidays.
