Rick,
Sorry to read of Taff Evans' death. We exchanged Xmas Cards for these last 15 years or so since we met each other again at a Taunton reunion. And I popped in to see him & his wife Eileen about 2 years ago when attending a Denbury weekend reunion. A super chap who thought the best of everyone. (For those who don't know, Taff became a prison officer and stayed at the camp after it became HMP Channing Wood).

I shall be with my tricycling group doing the Tarka Trail on Saturday 21 July, departing Bideford on the 23rd. I shall try and attend his funeral on the 24th.

Dave and all.
Never been through anything like this or seen anything like it. I have to say at the beginning I thought it was being overplayed. Now it is a major problem and shows just how vulnerable as a species we are. I have a feeling when this is all over the world will be a very different place.
Take care all of you and follow the rules. We will hopefully beat it but when I have no idea.

Happy Australia Day to all of our Denbury Boys and girls who have set up home down under.
Happy Australia Day to all the rest of us who intend to hoist a cold one to support them in their celebrations.
Best Wishes...

have just spent the last week down at Paignton, walked up from the town to the cemetery on Thursday and put some flowers on Johns grave, the headstone, poppy and rose looked ok but the grass area around his grave is still a mess but that's life, someone blew their horn as they passed, when I was waiting for the bus to go back into town, but didn't see who it was.

Hi there. I am Bill Braines daughter Caroline. My dad joined the Junior leaders regiment at Denbury Camp in September 1961. I believe he was F troop (yellow flash on epaulette). He said he was in the spider that burnt down. He became 244 signals air support. Left in 1973. Does anyone on here remember him? Sadly he has early Alzheimer's - so he lives with me now - but some of his memories are a bit muddled.

Thankyou for all of your messages sent to me on F Book ref my recent Stroke. They cheered me up at a time when I felt very vulnerable and low in mood. I have progressed very well since then, and find it hard to believe that it is only three weeks since I became ill. I was able to go to the Reunion in Weymouth on Saturday Which was organised by MIke Butchers.(Thanks MIke). We all had a great time. I am still getting tired quickly, but am looking forward to doing some gardening soon. Best Wishes to all. MIke(Prof)Boissé.
