Charlie Charlesworth thanks for the photo at the Jolly Sailor. Missed Steve Wright this year but say hi to all who remember us at Barnsley. Thanks again to Tony Gask who made all this happen. Swipe me down with Tarzan s loin cloth! I have just spoken to a guy I have worked with for about 3 years. He sits about 20 yards away from me-turns out his Dad is ex Lt Col DE Higgins MBE our final Colonel of Denbury at the time of Disbandment. Says Dad is still kicking around and will introduce him to the sites-have given him both Tony s and Steve s links. Keep on truckin PS Steve I have asked him to ask his dad if there any photos of denbury which might be copied for the sites-you don t know?

Hi All I was nowhere near being a good soldier but I enjoyed my time at Denbury upon reflection I would not have missed it for the world. Joined the band under Yatesy then was put into the pipe band. I well remember one Burns Night we did for some exiled Scots down there. We piped the Haggis in and afterwards we were slipped a wee dram and danced the Gay Gordons with my Hobnails on.

I was one of the national servicemen posted in from Catterick to install and set up the teleprinter class room (on the left side going down)Did`nt like the number of guard duties we did but appreciated the long holidays.
