Sad to report the passing of my friend Alan Rutherford who passed away on Tue 1 Sept 2009. Alan was at Denbury between Sept 1958 and I think towards the end of 1960 perhaps someone out there will have some more accurate details.He was a true Scot and a great friend who served his country all of his life and was proud to do so.His funeral will take place at Mortonhall Crematorium Edinburgh at 1400Hrs Thursday 10 Sept 2009.My sincere condolences to his dear wife Morag and children Angus and Ailsa. R.I.P. Alan my old pal and God Bless.

Hi John Tossell/Keith Morrisey I have been in touch with the original Lt David Carter OC B Troop by email a couple of times this year also reminding him of his American styled Cap black gloves swagger stick accompanied by the yankee swagger all of which he admits to he s a very interesting guy. I ll always remember prior to my going on CO s orders(again)he referred to me as a Teddy Boy in Army clothing---quite a nice touch I thought!
