I was one of the last intake at Denbury and moved to Harrogate.Denbury for me was really enjoyable in many respects. Harrogate on the other hand did not make me happy. We were used to being soldiers first but there it was trades first. Most thought that it was the wrong way round especially as we got pay rises for completing and passing various military tasks.

It is with great sadness I inform you that Brig. Graeme Jackson passed away last Friday 21st May 2010 at 2300. I have visited Graeme over the years at his home in Milton Keynes. His partner Ann Burrows emailed me Saturday with the sad news. Graeme is being cremated and they are going to hold a service for Graeme. They are arranging the service and will advise me when a date and time are known. I will forward this information when I get it. Hopefully some ex Denbury Boys who remember Graeme from his time at Denbury will be able to attend his service I know Ann would really appreciate it.Cheerio for now from Ottawa I will keep you advisedCheersWinston

It is with great sadness that I see Alan De La Haye has passed away. He was an ex Mucker Ducker and a real gentleman he stayed at my house in Blandford during our Y of S selection board I am sure he will be sadly missed by his family and friends

Greetings. I have only just found the site. I was the drum major mentioned in a previous entry! We came down from Beverley after summer leave 1955. We were most impressed! There were wriggly things on the walls which used to get hot all on their own! No more nicking coke from the E Yorks Regt! Be pleased to hear from any of my era best wishes Paul Lewer.

Have not visited for a few years Still an excellent site. Places like Denbury should be compulsory .Could solve a lot of problems in our society. (just a passing thought)
