Had a two year holiday from the bleak industrialized north when I joined the Denbury J.L s.in 1958/60.Received free board and lodgings got taught interesting subjects by the Nasho s in the Education Corp was introduced to music by S/Sgt Yates went on nature tours on Dartmoor and became acquainted with coordinated gymnastics through the good will of Sgt George. Major Parker ran 2 SQD in those years. The holiday continued with a cruise on the troopship Oxfordshire to S.E.Asia taking in: Hong Kong Singapore and Bangkok in that order. With West Germany and London thrown in my nine years passed all to soon. But such is life.I am now happily married and live in Perth Western Australia. If there is anyone out there from the era who wishes to touch base and is still alive drop an e/mail.Regards to all J/L sMick Furey

I know what you mean about your stapping lad I have a couple of grandsons who tower over me and call me the Cyborg because of my pacemaker. Is there any chance that you can get on the site at Yahoogroups. Digger will tell you how if you can t work it out...There are ex-boys all over the globe who crack on so you might find it interesting. Joe.
