Hi Mike Thanks for the response to my message.I will pass on the names of the guys that were in the group talking to Ken (Plum) as he was trying to recall the names. While on about names you were at Denbury while I was there but the only Butcher I can recall was J/RSM RON BUTCHER.He was regimental football captain when I was there and the priviledge to captain the that I was pleased to take over when he moved on. What ever happened to Ron does anyone know not only Ron but to members of the team that got to the Army Football Cup Final CheerS lES

Hi Mike that sound a goer for the future perhaps Bill Winder would like to be included in that he is in contact with Brian on a regular basis. Bill is in hospital at the moment so i would like to wish him all the best.I remember harry Meekins with great affection I was once on mess chores for some long forgotten reason and equally long forgotten is the problem that caused me to go running to Harry but what isnt forgotten is Harrys response He went round to the back door with me he put a hand on the rail each side of the door lifted a huge boot up and kicked the door down I assume they had locked it to keep him out .What happened after that i dont remember but i have no doubt Harry was the victor . It is nice to know he is still alive-and kicking ! Off to Bulgaria & some sun shortly so all the best & speak to you soon .CheersDes

Royal Signals MuseumThanks to the efforts from some of the lads who were at the RSA Blandford Reunion this weekend and took the trouble to phone me with the news that the new Museum Director has listened and wants to find out more about us and hopefully create a display dedicated to Denbury...my efforts in the past did not work out but did get a lot of details from the files there that is now recorded on the historic website...there are those of us keen to see the project go forward and hope the additional exposure may get the Regimental Standard back that has been missing since the late 1960s anybody who can help please get in touch via the contact page www.denburyjuniorleaders.com
