I know life can be difficult, my personal thought is that you are too successful and perhaps other sites are fading. Please keep up the good work.

Thanks Chris Jones for pointing me towards Steve Kent. Unfortunately, I'm a dinosaur and don't use Face Book etc. I note that Steve was at the Reunion in Newton Abbot once again this year. September is generally the month that I travel in to Europe collecting further GR's (Grand Randonnees, Long Distance footpaths). These connect France, Belgium, Netherlands etc and are fantastic way of exploring Europe via the mountainous regions. Hopefully, in 2025 I'll be able to push back my travel dates and get down to Newton Abbot to join the guys for a beer or two.

This site is too valuable to all us genuine ex Denbury boys to lose, perhaps if we knew the individuals name we could all post on his site individually what we think of the obnoxious s***. This is not the first time somebodies ridiculous and scurrilous accusations have led to a comrade stopping organising events on our behalf, Chalkie and Barnsley spring to mind and I think we should all let this individual know our feelings regarding his interference. I regret to inform you that Michael (MIck) Orrel, White Swan Troop Passed away at 0930 on 17 October 2024. Following consent from his partner and his daughter, life support was withdrawn. Mick passed away without pain or distress.

Funeral arrangements are not known at this time, I will update you when they are.

Just back from holiday and what do I find, Tony who has done a splendid job for us all being threatened with "Copyright" infringement. I see some of you are asking "WHO" this person may be. On the basis that we have 3 sites and what is called the "NEW" DENBURY" site has no dispute with Tony then GENTS look no further than the "ORIGINAL AND SAFE SITE FOR YOU GRANDCHILD". I have a somewhat broad experience of "Copyright and IP" law. To make a spurries claim of infringement and threat of legal action will be dealt with by a court with punitive awards. I would strongly advise the gentleman making the accusations to desists with immediate effect. I am to contact Tony separately to find more accurate details of this persons claim of ownership of what he terms as the offending work. When I have this information I will pass it to my IP solicitors who have acted for me over the last 25 years and which is their field of expertise. If any action is forthcoming against Tony from this individual I will assist to defend it.

Note for those who do not know Croydon. The traffic system is a nightmare as is parking.

Gent’s I notice that the site run by Steve Wright is now “Password” protected and that all the information we have donated is now not freely available to us. Not sure how one gets a “Password” to access the site but I bet it will cost money.
I have supported his site for years with Hundreds of pounds but no more.
This is the mail I have sent him this afternoon.
“Please remove all information including photographs pertaining to me from your site. This must include all information (Graduation date, Army Number, date of joining, troop, rank attained and any other personal information held by you.) In addition all photographic material supplied by me which contains my personal image. A full list can be sent if you have difficulty with this task.
I expect this to be completed within 7 days.
This is the same guy that accused me of personal gain for doing things that I have done for Denbury Boys. This is the same “Guy” who borrowed money from to keep his failing business going. This is the same guy who rang me ranting and raving because I was “THICK” as I could not delete someone else’s Emails. “Only the sender can delete their own mail”. I have not spoken to him for over a year and life has been so much better.
