dear nicola my deepest condolences. only this morning I was talking to my wife of denbury and the people who were an influence in my life. i mentioned mick and the memories we shared going into newton abbot looking for the girls sharing a barrack room and all the laughs trials and tribulations that brings.i even have a memory that he took me home to meet his parents as mine where serving in cyprus at the time. a good lad then and i am sure a good man. will be sadly missed. keep your happy memories and they will see you through the difficult times. love and good wishes eric known as ginge

My pal Eric Fawcett has just mailed me from Australia regarding the passing of Mick Burch. As anyone who served with Mick at Denbury would testify a nicer smarter more loyal pal would have been hard to find. I ve no doubt that his family were proud of him then and have been throughout his life. I send my heartfelt condolences to his daughter Nicloa family and friends. R.I.P. Mick

He was admitted last Tuesday but was diagnosed on Sunday with an inoperable tumour in his adrenal gland which had spread to his liver causing him to be jaundice.Please could you let the troop know I will let you know funeral details as soon as we have arranged things.Please feel free to call me as mum is staying with me for the time being.
