On return from BAOR for my demob I was stationed at Denbury for 2 weeks. On my very last day a Corporal placed me on a charge!A cash bribe to the transport driver to get me off camp worked and I retained a clean sheet.

HiJust come across this site by accident and the memories started flooding back not all happy I m afraid. My memory of my time there is vague at best I think I was there around lat 62 early 63. i was discharged after about 9 months as I was clearly unsuitable. I had a lot of personal issues and had been packed of to the army to get me out of the way so I am afraid that my heart wasn t in it much to my regret. I may have been called Chris Ruddock then it s all confusing. Believe me when I say I m confused. What do I remember? I was involved in the Ten Tors at a first aid tent on the moor. We had an arms instructor who was a bit of a legend the photo of Bang Bang Price seemed to ring a bell but I m not sure. There was a Church Army place where you could get stuff on tick until pay parade. There was a parade and we were inspected by James Ramsden MP who was my local MP I think that he was promoted due to the Profumo Affair. I was confirmed at Exeter Cathedral.Sorry to be so vague but I felt that I had to say hello.CheersChris
