Hi All Having digested the post about the Queen s Diamond Medal.Very interesting. In one paragraph it states that a small charge be made for the medal then a couple of paragraphs later it states that the medal is free.Wish they would make their mind up.Also what is disturbing is the fact that they cannot issue previous medals in retrospect. Why in hell should we have to wait for any medals. If you earned them issue them.Again we are the bottom of the list for these trinkets. The Police Ambulance and Fire Service (no disrespect to them were issued way before the Armed Forces received theirs. One was even on ebay 5 days after it was issued for ???£100.Not really very much pride in the medal from that particular recipient and only a limited amount issued to HM Forces whereas the Civil Services all received them. Not really fair is it?They really think a lot about our Armed Forces.I think they would be glad to get rid of the Forces altogether and save a fortune for the other needy countries who require aid from us!!!If we do receive the medal the parrot will look very nice in his bright new medal.Must train him to do drill and not nick my whisky. The bugger.Well OK chaps rant over back to bed again.Cheers. Jock.
