Hi Terry growing up in Moss Side back then was tough (these days they would say character building) but for the most part it was a very social community perhaps our PTI was a deprived child.Hi Skip I don?¢â?¬â?¢t understand what is happening with the Emails I haven?¢â?¬â?¢t received any of yours and I have sent you two. My address is tedlyth@hotmail.co.uk so try again mate how are you feeling anyway are you planning to go to Barnsley? Speak soon hopefully

Tks Mike and Bill for your responses. I will be visiting many venues and have made a note of your recommendations. My youngest son lives in Singapore at present along with his wife and son so I guess I ll have a slight advantage over the everyday tourist.RgdsEwan

Hi Ewan. Missed you by a month I am sorry to say. Viv my wife who was with her dad in Singers in 1950 (HMS Terror)and I stayed at the Park Hotel Clarkes Quay for a week two weeks ago and met up with truck loads of Aussies. A great city and fantastic memories. If you haven t been before Ewan go to the Singapore Flyer where all the tours go from and get in as many trips as you can. Raffles for High tea and the Night Safari at the zoo are a must. Gardens on the Bay are great as are the surreal trees that aren t trees!! Architecture magnificent and an evening or seven eating out and paying eight pound a pint for beer at Clarkes Quay is unmissable. Have fun. Regards and best wishes. Mike.PS. Changi Museum is a poignant place to visit.
