Apologies for not turning up at Taunton. I did start out but had to turn around after being so tired after just returning from Adelaide Oz the day before. We had a good reunion down under meeting for the first time Mike (Nidge) Knight Richard Wild & Joe Inguanez plus Dave Clapson & Tony Hargreaves. Richard asked me to pass on his regards to Tony Tai which I intended to do but was too jet lagged. To the Oz contingent thank you for all your help.

Hi Jock (Nicol). Good to see you on Saturday evening and so pleased that you can now differentiate between Prof West and me. LOL. Prof is more intelligent than I am it takes brains and cunning to be able to kip in your sleeping bag whilst on night duty in the Big House at Rheindahlen!! He had a lovely little maint and repair room from which he would sally forth on occasion to get an ice cold bottle of Coke from the machine in the corridor; meanwhile we operators were watching the progress of Khrushchev s cargo ship with missiles in it s hold heading for Cuba!!
