It has been reported on the Assn Last Post page that a Sig Bob McIntosh circa 1966 has died. I does not say which troop.

Chalky with regards to the alien theory. If you are in Ripon on a Fri or Sat night you will see numerous oscillating around the Market Cross. I think the majority are from Wetherspoons but definitely aliens. Best wishes Topper.

John You would expect so. The point I am making is that from all aspects both inside and outside everything looked ok but it had gone into reverse. Far fetch yes but better than an alien theory and being shot down on purpose by a military power. Hopefully we will see if and when they find the black box etc.

Jim Your comments are plausable. What if there had been a failure and the system had reset flying from Beiging to Kuala Lumpur? In this day and age surely the Indonesian air controllers would have advised Vietnamese controllers this flight was on the way! Surely security in this day and age would demand such posative steps?

Gents it comes as no surprise to me that the search is now in the Southern Ocean. Had the plane gone north it would have most certainly been spotted and shadowed. Now looking at where they have found the debris (not yet confirmed as MH370) IT SEEMS STRANGE that the heading looks exactly like a 180 deg of the original. This asks a question. Did the total system for navigation fail. The transponder were not turned off by anyone. After the failure but the plane after failure the systemsâ?Ø reset â?? the bearing to what it thought was correct but in essence had reversed them. The plane would be on auto pilot and would just keep on flying. The crew having no idea until they started getting â??Fuelâ?Ø low warnings and being in the middle of nowhere would have to ditch in the sea. I have no idea what or how could cause this to happen but its worth running through a simulator to see if what I say would happen in terms of position. Chalky

Well all you Jocks out there. The choice of an independent Scotland is one that the Scots themselves will have to make. It is for sure that Scotland will not have the ?£ (GBP) AS CURRENCY. It is for sure that Scotland will not be able to join the EU (As current EU law stands). It is for sure that some large financial institutions will have to move out of Scotland simple because they will have to trade in GBP on a wide scale. The same may apply to some large Multi-Nationals who will find it cost prohibitive to remain in Scotland. For me I would prefer that we remain a United Kingdom the sacrifices of the past to gain this have been too great. Should Scotland make the choice to go for independence then there will be no going back. Chalky

Chalky I agree whole heartily with your comments but Mr (Dipstick) Salmond has made it clear in no uncertain terms that he WILL have Independence from the rest of the UK regardless of the consequences. He is prepared to take Scotland back to the 15th Century just so he can be crowned The First Prime Minister of Scotland After about 6 months in power he will be named as the Prime Minister then he will look at the situation after about another 6 months and then resign. Leaving the country in more shit than it is in at the moment. Regardless what that idiot Sean Connery says. I think you can agree what I think of Independence. !!! Cheers. Jock.
