The memorial bench in memory of Bob (Taff) Wathen is to be delivered to the "Jolly" Sailor on the 28th November. The bench is a 4 seater with "Flat" arms so it will hold a pint and has a "Brass" plaque. The landlord is expecting it and will ensure it is looked after. He also requested a Framed Photograph of BOB (who he remembers as the BIG Guy). I will see if I can get one organised.

Very disappointed to read that formal reunions have now ceased, having enjoyed many both formal and informal reunions over the years, hoping that former Denbury Boys and Girls will continue to meet up wherever in the world, however living in Germany with the BREXIT situation travel to the UK is even more difficult than before and also having mobility problems, my website denburyjuniorleaders.com will continue thanks to continuing support, ensuring our short history remains recorded.

For those who don’t know I run the Facebook “Denbury Camp. Royal Signals. Ex Boys” group along with Tony Gask and Mike Butchers as Admins. We have over 380 members at present (June 2023), most are former boys from the camp. There are members who have settled all over the world, including Australia and the group enables you all to interact with each other as well as sharing photos, memories and stories of those days at Denbury.
I wondered if anyone would be interested in joining the group,. Please note you need to be a member of Facebook. If so apply to join on the main page ( Denbury Camp. Royal Signals. Ex Boys ) ensuring that you answer the security questions so we can verify you. ( No questions answered will result in your application being declined.) It’s a private group.
I look forward to seeing your application.

Regards. Pete Penfold.

Hi Skip, Sorry to hear about both your and Rose's health problems, I would just like to say, if you've got the chance to attend a garden party, make every effort you can to get there. Not many of us get invited, those who do have most certainly earned the honour. Don't forget to post the photo's so we can all share your day. All the best. Dave.

Sorry to hear things are not too good for Rose and you. Sure the hospital trips are tiring. Try to stay positive and look forward to the Garden Party.
